What is hydrogen water?
Molecular hydrogen water (often written as H₂ water) is regular water (H₂O) infused with extra molecular hydrogen gas (H₂): a colorless, odorless, tasteless molecule made of two hydrogen atoms.
Unlike the hydrogen already bound into the water molecule, molecular hydrogen is a free-floating gas dissolved in the water. It acts as a selective antioxidant, targeting harmful free radicals like the hydroxyl radical without disturbing the beneficial reactive species your body needs (Ohsawa et al., Nature Medicine, 2007).
